We’re happy to announce that the next GLS Playful Learning Summit will be June 10, 2014, right before the GLS Conference.

If you are currently in the process of registering and you’re suddenly wondering what the ARIS Summit is and whether you should register for that too, here’s the dilly:

The ARIS Summit is a full day event within the Playful Learning Summit that focuses around ARIS, but shares the meals and Happy Hour with Playful Learning. Check out more info on their website.

2014 Games Learning Society 10 Playful Learning Summit

The Games+Learning+Society 10 Conference begins Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the University of Madison-Wisconsin’s Memorial Union with the second annual GLS Playful Learning Summit (PLS). The GLS PL Summit promotes professional development opportunities to celebrate and deepen educators’ use of games in various educational settings, and fosters collaboration among teachers, designers, researchers and others throughout the elementary to higher education continuum. The PLS on Tuesday, June 10 will set an exciting tone for GLS 10, and provide a unique forum for educators to network, design, and play.

Tentative Schedule:

8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Check-in, Registration, Breakfast
8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Breakfast and Keynote in the Great Hall
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Specialized Track: ARIS Summit
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Various Workshops
12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Lunch on Tripp Deck, followed by a Mini-Expo with Coffee & Dessert in the Main Lounge
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Various Workshops
4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. PLS Evaluation and Transition
4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Happy Hour in the Arcade!
