Barbara Z. Johnson is co-owner and Chief Technology Officer of an investment management company and has twenty year’s experience in software development and information technology in both industry and academia. She has taught seminars and workshops in academic writing, web page authoring, and classroom technology integration. Currently, she is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, studying how games can be integrated into the classroom and how the curriculum can evolve to include games as virtual experiences that enhance and encourage learning. She occasionally writes for the Metaverse Messenger (Second Life) as Christien Suntzuand and blogs only when pushed.
