Christian Stevens is currently a third year resident physician in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Chris completed a B.S. in biology at Creighton University in 1999. After taking a year off to work in Antarctica, Chris completed medical school at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.

Practicing medicine begins in residency and continues as a process of lifelong learning throughout one’s career. Health care teams are faced with situations that require immediate and exacting actions to provide patients with the best opportunity for survival. Aside from Chris’s clinical responsibilities, he teaches in the Department’s simulation based resuscitation elective. Simulation provides health care teams with the opportunity to further their education, increase their exposure to crisis, and enhance their communication abilities without risk to the patient.
