Edward Metz |
BIOGRAPHY Edward Metz is a research scientist in the US Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences in the National Center for Education Research. There he manages three research programs, including the National Research and Development Center on Instructional Technology, the Education Technology Research Program, and the Small Business Innovation Research Program. Dr. Metz earned a Ph.D. in Human Development from the Catholic University of America, where he performed research on the effect of school-based community service programs on adolescents’ civic engagement. His publications appear in peer-reviewed journals including Political Psychology, Applied Developmental Science, PS: Political Science and Politics, the Journal of Adolescent Research, and Service Enquiry.
