Frank Polster has been affiliated with the US Army as a civil servant and soldier since 1969. Of his thirty-plus years of civil service, he has spent the last ten years serving as Director of the Army Training Information Systems Directorate, responsible for the management and development of training software systems that develop, store/deliver, and manage Army training in both its institution and units. His primary focus is the re-engineering of Army training information systems and its ability to support advance distributed learning in a network web-centric manner, which are standards based and embedded with the Army’s Future Combat Systems. His current interest is in web-enabled immersive learning simulations for individuals, leaders, teams, and staff.
