Kylie A. Peppler is a recent recipient of a Spencer Dissertation Fellowship for Research Related to Education. These findings are part of her larger dissertation project, Creative Bytes: Learning and Literacy in the Media Arts Practices of Urban Youth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, French, and Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Sciences. She has been appointed Assistant Professor of Learning Sciences in the Department of Education at Indiana University effective January 2008.
