BIOGRAPHY Mia Consalvo is an Associate Professor in the School of Telecommunications at Ohio University. She is the author of Cheating: Gaining Advantage in Videogames (MIT Press, forthcoming), is executive editor of the Association of Internet Researchers’ Research Annual series, and has edited the volume Women and Everyday Uses of the Internet: Agency and Identity with Susanna Paasonen. Her research focuses on women and games, the videogame industry, and pedagogical uses of games. She has published related work in The Video Game Theory Reader, as well as the journals On the Horizon, Television & New Media, and The Journal of Communication Inquiry.
