Tom Satwicz is an Assistant Professor in the Learning and Performance Support Laboratory (LPSL) at the University of Georgia’s College of Education. His research focuses on informal learning and technology use in everyday settings. Prior to joining the LPSL, Tom was a Research Assistant at the LIFE (Learning in Informal and Formal Environments) Science of Learning Center where he conducted an ethnographic study of young people’s videogaming practices. Currently he is expanding his research on informal learning and technology use by young people into additional settings to include a range of media forms.
