Anna Arici
Biography
Anna Arici recently defended her dissertation at Indiana University Bloomington, earning dual PhDs in educational psychology and in the psychological and brain sciences. Arici has served as a cognitive scientist and lead designer for Quest Atlantis (a game-based learning and teaching environment) since its launch in 2001, using her range of expertise to serve as curricular and narrative designer, professional development trainer, cognitive researcher, and evaluator. Her research foci include learning, engagement, and metacognition in serious games. Arici has a long history as an educator, ranging from teaching English courses in Venice and gifted classes for several years in middle school, to university courses for undergraduates and online courses for graduate students in education.
