Alecia Marie Magnifico
Biography
Alecia Magnifico is a doctoral student in the Learning Sciences program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Educational Psychology. In the past, she has been a middle school teacher, theater coach, poet, and education policy student, all of which have influenced her current research questions in different ways. She is broadly interested in storytelling, young people’s creation of digital media, how writing matters to literacy development, and how creative performance can support new literacies.
