By Air
The Madison airport (Dane County Regional Airport / MSN) is about 7 miles from Union South. Nonstop flights are available from major airline hubs. Taxi fare from the airport to Union South is about $25. Try the Union Cab (608-242-2000) or the Green Cab (608-255-1234). If you fly into Milwaukee or Chicago instead, there are various buses that can get you to Madison.
By Car
Madison is in south central Wisconsin, about 80 miles west of Milwaukee on I-94; about 150 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, 120 miles northwest of O'Hare International Airport on I-90; and about 250 miles southeast of Minneapolis and St. Paul on I-94. Long term parking is available at each of the downtown hotels; daily parking may also be found at an assortment of campus parking ramps within walking distance of Union South (see an up-to-date map of parking here).
By Bus
The Badger Bus Company provides service from Milwaukee's Mitchell Field (airport) and downtown Milwaukee directly to the UW-Madison campus. The Van Galder Bus Company provides service from Chicago OHare International Airport, Chicago Midway airport, and downtown Chicago directly to the UW-Madison campus.
Accommodations
Most people take reasonable access to restroom facilities for granted. However, transgender people often face the burden of being confronted or questioned about which gender's restroom they should use. Not having reasonable access to restrooms is a tremendous distraction that should not be imposed on anyone. The Games and Learning Society Conference is proud to invite our attendees to use whatever restroom best fits their gender identity. In addition, our venue has a gender neutral restroom option.
Nursing Mothers can take advantage of our 'Mothers Room', a private, comfortable and hygienic location with power outlets for any nursing or pumping needs. You can get access by calling 608.219.4967 or by stopping in at registration and asking us to call.

Childcare
For parents with children, the Madison Little Chicks Center has drop-in childcare options available. The center is open every day from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a two hour minimum for care. Families can call their 24 hour reservation line at 606-233-7373 to schedule hours up to two weeks in advance. More information and enrollment forms can be found at universitykids.org.

Home of the University of Wisconsin and the capital of Wisconsin, Madison is a vibrant, beautiful city of 240,000 people, located on an isthmus between lakes Monona and Mendota - a city often rated as one of the best cities in which to live in the United States. During the summer, Madison offers wonderful and varied walking, biking, shopping, and cultural activities.
